Hon. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah Concludes Day One of Project Inspection Tour in Kwabre East Municipal Assembly

Hon. Martin Adjei Mensah Korsah, Minister for Local Government, Decentralisation, and Rural Development (MLGDRD), concluded the first day of his project inspection tour with a visit to the Kwabre East Municipal Assembly. His tour focused on assessing the progress of several key projects under the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP).

In Kwabre East, the Minister inspected a range of ongoing projects, including a road construction project, 60 lockable stores, 60 stalls, and a new toilet facility. These initiatives, designed to enhance infrastructure and boost local commerce, are integral to the development goals of the GSCSP.

Hon. Korsah expressed his satisfaction with the steady progress observed at these sites. He commended the Assembly and the contractors for their diligent work and adherence to timelines. The Minister emphasized the importance of maintaining this momentum, urging the Municipal Assembly to continue providing robust oversight to ensure that the contractors adhere to the project schedules and quality standards.

"The pace of work here in Kwabre East is commendable," Hon. Korsah stated. "It is essential that we maintain this progress and ensure these projects are completed on time and to the highest standards, for the benefit of our communities."

The day's inspections reflect the government's ongoing commitment to improving infrastructure in secondary cities, thereby fostering economic growth and improving living conditions for residents. Hon. Korsah's visits are part of a broader effort to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the execution of these projects.

The Minister's tour will continue with further inspections in the Ashanti Region, reinforcing the government's dedication to regional development and the successful implementation of the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP)
