The Supreme Leader of the Al-Sunnah Wel-Jamaah Muslim Community has received a donation of essential food items and financial support from the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Ahmed Ibrahim, to aid in their Ramadan observances. The donation, which included 20 bags of rice, 20 bags of sugar, and an undisclosed sum of money, was presented as part of the government’s efforts to assist Muslim communities during the holy month.
Expressing gratitude, the Supreme Leader acknowledged the significance of the gesture, emphasizing its role in ensuring that vulnerable members of the community can fully participate in the spiritual exercise without difficulty.
During the presentation, Minister Ibrahim reaffirmed the government’s dedication to fostering inclusivity and religious harmony. He highlighted the importance of Ramadan as a time for reflection, charity, and unity, stressing that the government remains committed to supporting Muslim communities in their religious practices.
The minister also took the opportunity to engage with leaders of the community on various concerns, including the need for stronger collaboration between religious groups and the government in promoting peace and national development.
The leadership of the Al-Sunnah Wel-Jamaah Community commended the government for its continuous efforts in strengthening relationships with Muslim groups.
