His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse and Overlord of the Ga State, has called on residents of Accra to uphold the city’s dignity through collective commitment to cleanliness.
The Ga Mantse made the call during the maiden National Sanitation Day cleanup exercise held in Accra, which saw the participation of government officials, traditional authorities, and citizens.
> “As the father and overlord of Accra, it is my duty to ensure that the city remains clean,” the Ga Mantse said. “Cleanliness brings prosperity and good health to our people.”
He commended the collaboration between the Ministry of Local Government, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly, and traditional leadership, describing it as a necessary partnership to sustain environmental discipline.
The Ga Mantse urged residents to take ownership of their environment and make cleanliness a way of life rather than a one-day event.
